Salt Lake City is the All-American city. Majestic peaks tower over tidy suburbs and shiny skyscrapers.
It's cops like Detective Samuel Lopez who make sure that this beautiful town stays that way.
Lopez knows there is a dark underworld in Utah’s gleaming capital. He has been working for years to keep it from the public eye, and the years have not been kind to this son of immigrants. Despite the toll, Lopez has faithfully protected and served.
But a vicious Mexican cartel boss named Reyez, known as “El Cazador,” has set up his operations in Salt Lake City far from the federal agents monitoring the border towns. Besides drugs, he is running a human trafficking ring through a secret casino owned by Diego Diaz, a popular local businessman. Diaz wants out, but Reyez won’t let him.
One day on the side of the road in a pristine suburb, Detective Samuel Lopez discovers the badly mutilated body of a man named Mark Benson, who was wanted by many on both sides of the law. Anyone could have killed him, and there are rumors that he had been carrying a briefcase with a lot of money...El Cazador’s money.
Detective Lopez finds himself in the middle of a desperate hunt for the briefcase. His daughter is captured, federal agents are on his trail, and Reyez will stop at nothing to get his money back.
